Materials We Use
At St. Louis Residential Roofing, we promise to install high-quality materials at affordable prices. We source our materials from three top tier manufacturers: GAF, CertainTeed and Owens Corning. For full roof replacements, our roofing experts often install the following materials:
GAF Class 3 & 4 Shingles
Owens Corning Class 3 & 4 Shingles
CertainTeed Class 3 & 4 Shingles
GAF Class 3 & 4 Shingles
Class 3 Shingles
GAF Class 3 shingles, including Timberline HDZ, Camelot II, Woodland, and Slateline, are tested under UL 2218 standards using a 1.75 inch steel ball dropped from 17 feet. This level of impact resistance makes them a dependable choice for areas that experience moderate hail. They balance durability with a variety of design options, giving homeowners solid protection and appealing style.
Class 4 Shingles
GAF Class 4 shingles, such as Timberline Ultra HDZ, Timberline Armor Shield II, and Grand Sequoia Armor Shield, meet the highest UL 2218 rating. They are tested with a 2 inch steel ball dropped from 20 feet to confirm superior impact resistance. Many Class 4 options use SBS polymer modified asphalt to further improve flexibility and protection, making them ideal for regions with more frequent or severe storms.
Owens Corning Class 3 & 4 Shingles
Class 3 Shingles
Owens Corning shingles such as Duration, Duration Designer, and Duration MAX meet the Class 3 rating under UL 2218. They are tested with a 1.75 inch steel ball dropped from 17 feet, and they must remain free of cracks on the underside to qualify. This level of impact resistance gives homeowners dependable protection in areas that see moderate hail while still offering strong performance and appealing architectural styles.
Class 4 Shingles
Owens Corning’s TruDefinition Duration FLEX and TruDefinition Duration STORM meet the highest Class 4 rating under UL 2218. These shingles are tested with a 2 inch steel ball dropped from 20 feet to confirm superior impact resistance. Duration FLEX includes SBS polymer modified asphalt for added strength and flexibility, and both Class 4 options provide enhanced protection for regions that face frequent or severe hail.
CertainTeed Class 3 & 4 Shingles
Class 3 Shingles
CertainTeed offers several Class 3 options, including Landmark, Landmark Pro, Highland Slate, and Presidential Shake. These shingles provide solid impact resistance along with a wide range of architectural and designer looks. Homeowners can choose from traditional styles or elevated designer profiles that add more visual depth to the roof.
Class 4 Shingles
CertainTeed’s Class 4 lineup includes Landmark ClimateFlex, NorthGate ClimateFlex, Belmont IR, Grand Manor, Carriage House, and Presidential Shake TL. These shingles are designed for higher impact resistance and include both standard architectural styles and premium designer options. This group provides enhanced durability along with distinctive, high-end aesthetics for homeowners who want stronger protection with a premium appearance.
what we offer
What to Expect During Your Full Roof Replacement
Our roof technicians follow a standard procedure to transform your roof. If you’re ready for a total roof replacement, St. Louis Residential Roofing will walk you through the following steps:
Property Protection
Our team will take extra precautions to protect your property during construction. We use the Catch-All net system to protect your flower beds, windows and more.
Removal
All of your old roofing materials will be removed and disposed of in our dumpster.
Examination
Our team examines the wood decking below the shingles for water damage or deterioration. From there, we’ll make necessary repairs to the roof deck.
Installation
We install your roof system according to manufacturer specifications, which may include the drip edge, ice and water shield, vents and shingles. This stage will include add-ons, such as gutters and downspouts, if requested. Typically, installation takes one to two days.
Inspection
Our team performs a final inspection of our work before we leave. Our Project Manager provides the foreman with a punch list to complete before they de-mobilize. They will also inspect the grounds for leftover debris and run a high-powered magnet around the perimeter of the house.
Walk-Through
We’ll personally take you on a final walkthrough of our work to make sure that you’re satisfied with the final result.

Financing & Payment Options
We accept check, credit card, debit card, and ACH payments. If you need help managing the cost of your roofing project, we also offer financing through Hearth, a trusted third-party financing network.
